Who says legal experience can't come with water views? Our Summer Legal Internship Program is back, and this year we're proud to welcome four talented law students to The Virga Law Firm, P.A..
Our program gives 1L and 2L law students hands-on experience in family law along Florida's Gulf Coast. Interns attend court hearings, participate in client intake, assist with legal research, and draft legal memoranda alongside experienced attorneys, several of whom sit on committees for the Family Law Section of The Florida Bar. With offices across Panama City, Panama City Beach, Fort Walton Beach, Pensacola, Orlando, and Navarre, interns get a firsthand look at the legal landscape of the Gulf Coast.
Our interns also get a summer that looks a little different from the typical law firm internship:
- Paid position
- Half-day Fridays
- Casual dress code

Our interns quickly become part of the team, not just for the summer. At our firm’s Fourth of July employee party, when a last-minute court matter pulled Gerard away, Gavin, one of our summer interns, stepped right up and took over the grill without missing a beat. That kind of willingness to jump in, help the team, and make the most of every opportunity is exactly what we love to see.
