Meagan Smith has been a dedicated member of The Virga Law Firm's Pensacola team since July 2024, where she serves as both Intake Specialist and Discovery Lead. In her dual role, Meagan ensures that clients receive exceptional support from their very first contact with the firm through the complex discovery process of their family law cases.
As the first point of contact for many clients, Meagan handles all front desk operations, greets walk-in and scheduled clients, and maintains the warm, welcoming atmosphere that The Virga Law Firm is known for throughout Northwest Florida.
In her discovery role, Meagan manages critical deadlines and coordinates the discovery process for multiple cases simultaneously. She schedules discovery deadlines, maintains comprehensive tracking systems, and works closely with the discovery team to ensure no important dates are missed. Meagan also meets directly with clients to explain required discovery documents and financial affidavits, helping them understand and navigate this crucial part of their legal proceedings. Her technical skills include managing client profiles, processing and drafting legal documents, and handling electronic filing through Florida's E-File Portal.
What sets Meagan apart is her genuine care for clients going through challenging family law situations. She provides ongoing support throughout the discovery process, checking in with clients and assisting with their needs. Her organizational skills and attention to detail help ensure that cases proceed smoothly and deadlines are met, while her compassionate approach helps clients feel supported during difficult times.
Meagan is deeply connected to the local community. She lives with her partner Brandon and their two sons, Christian, 14, and Arlo, 6. Coming from a large family herself with six siblings, Meagan understands the complexities of family dynamics and brings that perspective to her work with clients facing family law challenges.
Outside of her role at The Virga Law Firm, Meagan serves as a Beach Volleyball League Coordinator for Kaboom Sports Social Club, demonstrating her commitment to community involvement and active lifestyle. She and her family enjoy spending time together participating in beach volleyball, paddleboarding, running, hiking, and biking. They also love relaxing at the beach and dressing up for special occasions, making the most of the beautiful Gulf Coast lifestyle that Northwest Florida offers.
