She is a Military brat. Her father was a sailor, and Attorney Hadley grew up all over America. She went to high school in San Diego, California before joining the United States Navy at eighteen. She served 10 years on active duty as an Electricians Mate (EM1) and was part of the first group of enlisted women to be assigned to sea duty and served aboard the USS Puget Sound (AD 38) and the USS Acadia (AD 42). Her time in the military taught her things including how to fight hard and not give up. She is now a Service Connected Disabled American Veteran, a member of the local Veterans of Foreign War, serving the post as their Judge Advocate General, and a member of the American Legion. She understands the long hours and the even longer separations that military families suffer through as well as the hardships involved with moving all the time. These experiences make Attorney Hadley uniquely qualified to work for military families.
She spent much of her military life in Florida and fell in love with the warm weather, the beautiful beaches and the welcome of southern hospitality. Attorney Hadley and her family vacationed on the panhandle over the years and finally moved to Panama City in 2007 when she was admitted into the Florida Bar. This is where she has chosen to raise her family.
After the military, she attended college at the University of Houston at Clear Lake, earning a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies. She continued her education at The Puget Sound School of Law, which is now the Seattle University School of Law, in Seattle Washington, earning a Juris Doctorate. During law school, Attorney Hadley served as the Vice President of the School chapter of the American Bar Association and as the President of the School’s Veteran’s Association.
She was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 1994. During the time she worked in Washington State, she served as a Washington State Prosecutor in eastern Washington and then later entered private practice in the greater Seattle area. She also served as the City Attorney for several small cities in the area. In Washington, Attorney Hadley served on the Board of Governors of the Trial Lawyers Association and was also admitted to practice in the Federal District Court in the Western District of Washington.
Since coming to Florida, she has worked in the private sector as well as for the Florida Department of Revenue, as the Child Support Enforcement Attorney for the and for the Florida Department of Children and Families in Bay County, Florida.
